From 2012-2020, the incomparable Hannan Younis and I wrote, performed and travelled North America together as the comedy/slam poetry duo Definition Of Knowledge.
In our years together, we opened for performers such as The Tallboyz, Baron Vaughan, The Sklar Brothers, Colin Mochrie, Scott Thompson and James Adomian. We played in festivals like JFL 42, Zoofest, Boston's Women In Comedy Festival, Austin Sketchfest, Toronto Sketchfest, Montreal Sketchfest, Shade Fest, Black & Funny, and the Toronto Fringe Festival.
This culminated with the 2020 release of Gentrify This, our sketch comedy album released by Howl and Roar records.
I'm incredibly proud of the material Hannan and I crafted together, and what we were able to accomplish. In a more just world where "parody slam poetry duo" is an economically viable career, who knows what could have happened.
